Position:
We are seeking an ambitious, driven, and tech-savvy iGaming Compliance Manager to join our team in Toronto, Canada.

You will be responsible for managing license applications, compliance, and regulatory matters in existing and emerging international markets. You will be chiefly responsible for addressing concerns raised by regulators, and ensuring adherence to requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Ideal candidates will have iGaming compliance experience, including direct interaction with regulatory bodies.

You will work in the Legal & Compliance Team and report to our General Counsel.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Define the strategy for markets that need licensing, certification and/or product compliance;
  • Manage regulatory responsibilities, reporting and maintain/build regulatory relationships for new and existing international markets; 
  • Coordinate license applications for emerging markets as per Company guidance; 
  • Maintaining, optimizing, and staying abreast of applicable iGaming compliance regulations, as well as accepted business practices/standards, and internal business decisions, for the Company’s operations;
  • Working with various authorities to submit regulatory returns and conduct ongoing internal reviews and audits of the Company, identifying regulatory vulnerabilities across all policies, procedures, and systems in place;
  • Implementing appropriate developments and amendments to existing policies, procedures, and systems as well as regularly reporting to senior management;
  • Working closely alongside all internal departments such as Customer Support, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Payments in order to ensure the product offering complies with legislation set out by the regulatory bodies;
  • Maintaining the Company’s business risk assessments;
  • Providing support, training, and guidance to other members of the team;
  • Dealing with ad-hoc matters of compliance as required.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience in compliance management role;
  • Deep knowledge of iGaming industry regulations and compliance requirements;
  • Strong background in online payments and knowledge of the broad payments landscape, domestic and global payment trends, and emerging payment technologies
  • Seamless Microsoft Excel navigation (At least 1 year of experience)
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and resourceful
  • Eager to learn, achieve, grow, and succeed
