Purpose:
We are seeking an ambitious, driven, and tech-savvy Payments and Treasury Clerk to join our team in Toronto, Canada.
You will be responsible for handling financial transactions, including processing payments, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You will liaise with financial institutions to resolve discrepancies. You will support the team with precise and diligent execution, ensuring efficient updates, and filling in the gaps in our operations cycles. This includes documentation and preparation of reports. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines will contribute to the team's overall success.
You will work with the Treasury Team and report to the Director of Finance.
What you will do:
- Ensuring accurate records of payments, cash flow, and other financial transactions
- Data Entry: Validating, entering, and processing payable and receivable data
- Perform high volume of input using word processing, spreadsheet, Excel or other computer software
- Review errors, missing or invalid information and resolves any discrepancies
- Prepare and issue documents and reportsĀ
- Prepare period or cost statements and reports
- Perform regular backups and ensure reports are in order
- Other duties as required
What you must have:
- High school diploma or post-secondary diploma preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
- Accuracy and adaptive to processing tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an attention-to-detail
- Ability to follow guidelines and repetitive processes to ensure successful day-to-day operation
