This role requires genuine, deep knowledge of poker, how the game is played, scored, and strategized at a real level, beyond familiarity with the rules. Candidates who cannot demonstrate strong poker acumen will not be considered, regardless of other qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, detect, investigate, report, and resolve or escalate intrusions and unusual, unauthorized and illegal activities on our platform and all behaviours prohibited by GGPoker's Security & Ecology Policy
  • Analyze hand histories, betting patterns, and gameplay to distinguish legitimate strategic play from scripted, bot-assisted, or collusive behaviour
  • Research, plan, implement, and execute measures and processes to protect against hacks and auxiliary tools such as third-party programs: bots, unauthorized account access, compromised digital devices and/or networks, data mining, seating scripts, artificial intelligence (AI), multi-accounting bots, etc.
  • Conduct extensive investigations related to game activities that breach administrative and security protocols, and gather evidence for administering punishment and resolutions, up to and including confiscation of funds and permanent bans from the network and app
  • Proactively detect and resolve or report on fraudulent activities
  • Analyze, document, and report on user behaviours, stats, and metrics across the GGPoker network and app
  • Carry out security measures and processes in response to hacking, botting, and similar incidents and reports in accordance with GGPoker security protocols, protecting our systems and game integrity

Requirements:

  • Deep, demonstrable knowledge of poker strategy and gameplay (cash games and tournaments), ideally backed by significant hours played at a serious or competitive level, online or live
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of tasks
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Flexibility and versatility, with the ability to work in accordance with the demands of the business
  • Experience working in the iGaming industry is an asset

Compensation:

  • Annual salary and promotion review
  • Max 30% bonus per annum
  • Paid vacation and sick days
  • Flexible and comprehensive benefits
  • Commute coverage
  • Birthday Gift
  • GGPoker Swag
  • Preferred Gym rate
  • Endless snacks and beverages
